We welcome the announcement of the new Labour Government and congratulate the new Prime Minister on his role. The result shows that people have had enough and are calling for change. However, there is still a lot of work to be done. Minority communities across Britain have been let down, whether through COVID-19, austerity, or the introduction of the two-child cap on benefits.
We hope the manifesto pledges of change, stability, and rebuilding the UK materialise for our communities. Nonetheless, we will continue to advocate for ending the two-child cap as part of their commitment to a new Race Equality Act.
