Secured support for 21 voluntary and community organisations who provide practical support to people in minority communities experiencing dementia, and their carers.
Brought our introduction to Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) programme online to support vulnerable families no longer getting face-to-face services due to the pandemic.
2019
Secured £1.5 million from the National Institute of Health and Care Research for an evaluation study to show the impact of the SFSC programme on family well-being.
Piloted a community blood-pressure testing and awareness programme for Black men. This approach is now published in the National Institute for Clinical Excellence resource library and Public Health England community practice guidelines.
2017
Secured funding from the Ending gang violence and exploitation programme at the Home Office which led to training 72 people to deliver the SFSC programme to families affected by gangs, guns and knife crime.
2016
SFSC programme nominated for a European Diversity Award and Best Community Health Project at the nOSCARS, as well as being listed as recognised effective practice intervention by the Youth Justice Board.

Online SFSC programme awarded the CANParent Quality Mark.
2014
SFSC programme awarded the CANparent Quality Mark, proving that it makes a positive difference and encompasses an evidence-based approach to delivery, effective governance and engagement with parents.
Led the creation of a Health Network for children and young people’s organisations in collaboration with Partnership for Young London and Children England.
Published briefings looking at health and housing, child mental health, migrant maternal mental health and personalisation as part of the Better Health and Better Housing projects.

Commissioned to carry out a review of good practice when working with Black and minority ethnic children for the NSPCC.
Joined other charities and NHS Blood and Transplant as part of the National BAME Transplant Alliance (NBTA) to increase donor numbers and change attitudes to donation and transplantation within Black and minority ethnic communities.
2011
Took part in the development and launch of the Equality Delivery System (EDS) to enable current and emerging NHS organisations to review and rate their equality performance with staff, patients and the public.
Selected to take part in the advisory group for HealthWatch England Ministerial Advisory Group on the mental health strategy and the NHS Future Forum to discuss reforms to health services.
