Become a host of our Anti-Racism Collaboratives

Do you want to improve health equity and drive systemic change? Host an Anti-Racism Collaborative with the Race Equality Foundation.

Across England, people from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic communities face significantly worse health outcomes than white people. These gaps are driven by structural racism, shaping the conditions in which people are born, grow, work and age.

The Race Equality Foundation are launching an ambitious five-year programme to tackle health inequalities starting with empowering local communities to drive transformative systems change. This work is part of the Health Inequities: Structural Racism and Discrimination Partnership, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

We are building three Anti-Racism Collaboratives (ARCs) in Manchester, Lambeth, and Barking and Dagenham, bringing together a range of partners with the passion and motivation to improve health outcomes for their area.

We are looking for a local Black, Asian or minoritised ethnic-led voluntary organisation to host each ARC, with the trust and reach in the community needed to deliver innovative solutions to the health issues affecting their area.

As an ARC host, you will bring partners together, build collaboration across sectors, run a local Co-Production Panel, and deliver impactful change programmes that gives communities a real say in tackling health inequalities and influencing wider health policy.

This is a paid commission for a five-year partnership with the Race Equality Foundation. ARC Hosts will enter a partnership agreement for an initial funded role within years one to three, with agreed reviews and transition arrangements for years four and five.

You’ll need:

  • A track record of tackling racial inequalities in one of the three areas
  • Trust and reach across Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic communities locally
  • Experience of working collaboratively with communities, the voluntary and community sector, and statutory partners
  • A demonstrable commitment to co-production

You can find full details of the commission and role of the Host in the Information Prospectus document below.
