DESCRIPTION:The Advanced Training course provides facilitators with the tools to deliver Strengthening Families\, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) to parents with a greater degree of focus on adult relationships and the impact of conflict with the co-parenting relationship on children. \nIt builds on the SFSC core training course and provides practitioners with the skills and understanding to meet the needs of parents experiencing conflict whether they are living together or living apart. \nAs well as providing a written a fully mapped supplementary manual which addresses parental conflict across the programme. SUMMARY:SFSC Refresher training – London
DESCRIPTION:This 2 day workshop is intended for trained facilitators who have had a break before or between delivering the programme to parents. The refresher workshop will also help facilitators who do not feel confident about their understanding or delivery of the curriculum. \nBOOK NOW \nAims \nThe workshop aims to: \n\nrevisit the evidence and concepts that inform SFSC\nreview the SFSC curriculum and the methods used to deliver it to parents\nprovide an opportunity to practice delivery.\n\nQualifications and experience needed \nDelegates must have completed the five day SFSC training course. \n  \nFormat of the day \nThis tried and tested workshop will include: \n\ninteractive exercises\nexploration of evidence on parenting and the outcomes for children\nmodelling of effective practice in programme delivery\nsignposting to other support and resources\nopportunities for individuals to practice and reflect on how they can implement best practice.\n\n  \nMaterials \nParticipants will receive a copy of the latest edition of the SFSC facilitator manual with USB memory stick\, worth £100 if they do not already have a current copy. \n  \nOutcomes of the training \nBy the end of the 2 day workshop participants will: \n\ndemonstrate improved understanding of how parents can improve the outcomes for their children\nunderstand how to deliver SFSC to all parents\ndemonstrate how they can deliver SFSC using best practice\ndemonstrate how to create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for learning to take place\nunderstand the importance of maintaining the fidelity of the SFSC programme\n\n  \nAdditional benefits \nBenefits of the day include: \n\nbetter able to meet the requirements of the National Occupational Standards for Working with Parents\nbetter respond to the changing environment for early years education as a result of the Nutbrown review (2012) Foundations for Quality\nlearning for continuous professional development; and\nopportunity to meet others\, often from different agencies but with shared interests.
