Parenting courses to families in Waltham Forest

Funded by the London Borough of Waltham Forest, the Race Equality Foundation is delivering a series of four Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities Programmes (SFSC) to the diverse communities living in this borough and alongside this, offering some one off online safety workshops.

The SFSC programmes will provide courses to families with children in areas affected by radicalisation and extremism or at risk of violence, with the aim of supporting parents to ensure their children grow up happy, healthy and safe.

These programmes will enhance parenting skills and knowledge to identify the risks their children are exposed to as they develop into adults, develop parents’ confidence, improve relationships, support participants to communicate more effectively with their children and be better informed and connected in order to request support.

Programmes will run between January and March 2018.
