First Steps funded by City Bridge Trust

The funding is for one year from 1 April 2017 until 31 March 2018. In this year we will provide training and capacity building activities in four ways that will contribute to the implementation of the Way Ahead.
Development and delivery of three sets ‘train the trainers’ programmes and resources to enable organisations to deliver training programme in their local areas. The training programmes will be on safeguarding and equality; ensuring violence prevention works for children, young people and families; and best practice in engaging black and minority ethnic families.
The delivery of three health network events that explore health and health inequalities for children, young people and families.
Produce three briefing papers that consider equality implications on topical issues relating to children, young people and families.
These include:
Deliver a Community Champions programme that trains young people in research skills to undertake an asset mapping process to improve their representation and voice in identifying their needs in their local areas.
