The Race Equality Foundation is thrilled to announce its selection as a MAC Viva Glam charity partner. We are honoured to be one of the UK and Ireland charities to benefit from MAC Cosmetics’ incredibly generous £1 million fund, celebrating 30 years of the iconic Viva Glam campaign in 2024.
Since its founding in 1994, the pioneering MAC Viva Glam campaign has raised over $500 million globally to support healthy futures and equal rights. The campaign funds organisations working in HIV/AIDS support, while championing women, the LGBTQIA+ community and other marginalised groups.
Jabeer Butt, Chief Executive, Race Equality Foundation, said:
“We are very grateful to have been chosen as a MAC Viva Glam charity partner. This funding will allow us to expand our work to tackle racism in UK society and positively transform the lives of Black, Asian and ethnically minoritised communities. Campaigns like MAC Viva Glam show the power of businesses taking a stand and directing profits to create meaningful social change”.
“The Race Equality Foundation looks forward to launching new initiatives next year focused on racial justice work that specifically supports and amplifies the voices of Black, Asian and minority ethnic young people and their families. After 30 years, the urgency of equality campaigning still remains for groups disproportionately impacted by discrimination and health inequities. We hope the MAC Viva Glam campaign in the UK and Ireland will inspire other companies to give back too.”
