But, for many parents, the arrival of a new baby brings the reality of sleepless nights, depression, wider family interference and economic pressures. A meta-analysis (43 studies) found an average 10.4 percent of fathers become depressed both pre- and postnatally, with the peak time for fathers&#8217; depression being between three and six months after the birth (Paulson &amp; Bazemore, 2010).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-100\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/raceequalityfoundation.org.uk\/parentalconflict\/new-parents\">Read more&#8230;<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New parents will have dreams and aspirations for their new child.
