Jabeer Butt, Chief Executive, Race Equality Foundation said:

“It is profoundly disappointing that the Chancellor has failed to allocate the crucial funding so desperately needed for public services already pushed to the brink. With costs sharply rising, his refusal to set aside resources to alleviate chronic underfunding undermines services’ ability to adequately support the most vulnerable. It is disheartening that despite urgent appeals, the Chancellor has not released funds vital to sustain key services. That the most vulnerable and those in most need will disproportionately suffer makes this situation more distressing. It is a real failure of a fundamental duty of care. Lives will be negatively impacted.”
