Jabeer Butt, our Chief Executive, has recently featured on the new Real World Public Mental Health podcast series. The episode ‘Foundations of mental health – getting the best start in life’ looks at how early experiences build trust and secure the best foundations for mental health throughout life.
This series is part of the Prevention Concordat for Better Mental Health Programme – a collaboration by Public Health England’s Public Mental Health team and regional leads, with the Vice President of the Association for Directors of Public Health UK, the Centre for Mental Health, the Mental Health Foundation, the NIHR School for Public Health Research, the Local Government Association, the Behavioural Science and Public Health network and established experts in clinical and public mental health.
In this episode Stu King the host, interviews Jabeer Butt alongside Professor Peter Fonagy, Head of the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences at UCL and the National Clinical Adviser on children and young people’s mental health at NHS England, Dr. Karen Bateson, Head of Clinical Strategy and Development at the Parent-Infant Foundation and Clinical Child Psychologist with over 20 years in the NHS CAMHS services.
