Black and minority ethnic tenants live in some of the poorest quality housing in the UK, and we know that their health suffers as a result. They are also disproportionately fearful of being evicted for reporting problems.

We support new legislation to stop 'revenge evictions' in rented housing. The Tenancies (Reform) Bill will prevent landlords from evicting tenants who have complained about a serious health hazard or repair issue in their home.

The Bill is due to be debated in Parliament at the end of November, and has cross-party support.
