Posted on Wed 15 Jun 2011
A parent group from Grimsby have praised the Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities parenting programme (SFSC), saying that the programme helped them improve their family lives, and create a positive environment in which to raise children. The programme focuses on the use of praise to shape behaviour, and places emphasis on the importance of quality time for families.
Sue Mason-Bartlett, one of two facilitators who delivered the programme said:
"I have facilitated about 6 SFSC groups now and I am always apprehensive at the start of the course but by the end I'm pleased and sad at the same time,,, pleased to see how parents have progressed and what they have achieved and sad to say "goodbye" to that group!"
